The Faculty of Sports Science, State University of Yogyakarta always follows the latest developments in sports science and technology which are implemented in research, sports education, community service, sports labs, sports facilities, and infrastructure. This has prompted the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) of Sleman Regency to "look at" FIK UNY as a partner in developing sports achievements in Sleman Regency and DIY in general. This was conveyed by Pramana, the General Chair of KONI Sleman together with the Deputy General Chairmen and other administrators during an audience visit and collaboration discussion with FIK UNY on Tuesday afternoon (16/1). "The results of this hearing and discussion will later become part of the planning of the Sleman KONI work program," added Pramana. Furthermore, Pramana added that the credibility of FIK UNY in the national and international arena is expected to be able to help KONI Sleman realize its goals and objectives to the fullest. According to the plan, part of the collaboration between KONI Sleman and FIK UNY includes training, sports workshops, fitness tests for athletes, trainer certification, use of laboratory and sports facilities, and involvement of sports injury therapy masseurs at the Therapy Clinic of FIK UNY.

Meanwhile, the Dean of FIK UNY, Wawan S. Suherman, welcomed the visit and audience between KONI Sleman and FIK UNY. In principle, FIK UNY is always open to jointly improving regional and national sports achievements which have been continuously carried out, especially geographically, FIK UNY is located in Sleman Regency. "Informally, FIK UNY and KONI Sleman have been established for a long time, this will also enhance their formal relationship," explained Wawan. The Dean, accompanied by the deputy deans, the head of the study program, and the head of the FIK administration section is ready to work together in the fields of education and teaching, infrastructure, and community service (PPM) with KONI Sleman.
