Prof. Dr. Siswantoyo, M.Kes. AIFO adds to the ranks of professors at the Faculty of Sports Science, Yogyakarta State University. The professor in the field of Pencak silat coaching science delivered his inaugural speech at the open senate meeting of Yogyakarta State University on Wednesday, April 13, 2016, in the Main Meeting Room of the UNY Rectorate. The lecturer of the Department of Coaching Education who currently serves as Secretary of the Institute for Research and Community Service at UNY read his professor's inaugural speech entitled "Pencak Silat in Identity Perspective, Integrative and Science and Technology in Sports Coaching".

Pencak Silat is one of the traditional sports that has grown in the archipelago from time to time. Pencak silat always experiences varied dynamics and developed along with the historical development of human civilization, especially in Indonesia. Pencak Silat has a mission to create a prosperous society climate, 'tata tentrem kerto raharjo', which is based on individual morals with noble character, developing ethical, aesthetic, technical, and athletic values. The development of Pencak silat is focused on four aspects, namely mental and spiritual aspects, martial arts, arts and culture, and sports aspects.

Based on this, the learning and training process for Pencak silat is always full of philosophical meanings as the beginning of learning 'olah rogo', 'olah roso', 'lan olah jiwo'. Furthermore, Pencak silat is the identity of the archipelago because the identity and characteristics even have the inherent integrity of Pencak silat is the Indonesian archipelago heritage. This was stated by Prof. Dr. Siswantoyo, M.Kes., AIFO in his professor's inauguration speech. The Pencak silat warrior who was born in Bantul, on March 10, 1972, is the 131st professor of UNY and adds to the long list of professors of FIK UNY to 9 professors, namely, Prof. Dr. Sumaryanto, M.Kes., Prof. Dr. Djoko Pekik Irianto, M. Kes. AIFO, Prof. Dr. Suharjana, M.Kes., Prof. Dr. Wawan Sundawan Suherman, M.Ed., Prof. Dr. fx. Sugiyanto, M.Pd., Prof. Dr. Tomoliyus, M.S., and Prof. Dr. Hari Amirullah Rachman, M.Pd., while Prof. Dr. Pamuji Sukoco, M.Pd. no professor inauguration speech yet (SP27)
