s a stakeholder institution supporting the development of sports in Yogyakarta and Indonesia, the Faculty of Sport Sciences of UNY and the People's Sovereignty Daily is committed to always advancing community sports and promoting sports. This was reflected in the audience of the Dean of FIK UNY, Prof. Dr. Wawan S. Suherman, M.Ed., and the President Director of People's Sovereignty, dr. Gun Nugroho Samawi on Monday (18/9). Located in the KR President Director's Room, the meeting was also attended by the Deputy Dean I of FIK, Dr. Or. Mansur, M.S., KR Finance Director, Imam Satriadi, S.H., and several of KR's board of directors. In accordance with KR's tagline, namely 'migunani tumprap ing liyan' (useful for others), FIK UNY as a higher education institution for sports academically continues to strive to produce graduates and research results that are expected to help improve sports achievement, while KR as a well-known print media has a base-wide readership in disseminating the development of Sports Science and Technology, 'talent scouting' for outstanding athletes and extensive 'networking' in DIY in particular.
Apart from being a means of 'getting in touch and discussing sports, this activity is also a means of socializing the 66th Anniversary of FIK UNY this year. It is planned that this year's FIK Anniversary series of activities will be enlivened with the FIK Anniversary ceremony on Monday, October 2, 2017, by presenting the General Chairperson of PSSI, Edy Rahmayadi as a speaker for scientific orations, friendly football matches between FIK UNY lecturers/staff with alumni, and journalists, and international seminars. Yogyakarta International Seminar on Health, Physical Education, and Sport Science' (YISHPESS 2017).
Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the YISHPESS 2017 Committee, Dr. Or. Mansur, M.S., stated that this international seminar is an international academic forum that is a means of exchanging information and experiences about scientific developments and the results of the latest sports research. By presenting 5 sports experts from Germany, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia, YISHPESS 2017 which will be held on October 14, 2017, at the Easparc Hotel is expected to be a forum for the renewal and application of evidence-based 'sports science' practice which includes education, achievement, and sports health, said Mansur.
