In addition to developing talents and interests in the world of sports, FIK UNY students are always supported and motivated to develop their potential outside the classroom to achieve success after returning to society. This is reflected in one of the missions of FIK UNY to always improve quality academic education to produce graduates who are noble, collaborative, tolerant, innovative, and visionary (AKTIV). It is Lia Karina Mansur, a 2015 graduate of the FIK UNY Sports Coaching Education Study Program who recently managed to become the First Winner of Sunsilk Hijab Hunt 2017 in Jakarta. Lia's success as the first winner cannot be separated from the various potentials, achievements, and characters that are assessed in the selection of quality Muslim women. "Not only beautiful and personable, but Muslim women must also have talent" is the jargon of a national Muslim beauty contest that holds auditions in big cities in Indonesia.

Lia, as she is called, is currently pursuing her master's degree in Sports Science at Yogyakarta State University, having won a gold medal at the 2012 and 2016 National Sports Weeks. In addition, her achievements at the international level include winning a silver medal in the championship Korea international, a gold medal at the 2011 Australian Open, a silver medal at the 2011 Sea Games, and a bronze medal at the 2011 Asian Championships in Kazakhstan. As a product of FIK UNY graduates, Lia is impressed by the academic climate that supports students, especially athletes who are also athletes, to achieve as high as possible in between the main tasks of a student to complete studies with a high GPA. Dara, who has been practicing Tae Kwon Do since junior high school, advised all FIK UNY students to be active both in achieving sports achievements (for athletes in particular) as well as their sports academic achievements. "The experience of being the First Winner of Sunsilk Hijab Hunt inspired me that anything is possible," she said. Furthermore, Lia said that so far many beauty contests/auditions have highlighted their modeling, singing, and acting talents, but here Lia has proven that her talent and sporting achievements can lead her to become the first winner of beauty contests in Indonesia.
