The Yogyakarta State University futsal team completed its success in winning the Kaskus Central Java and Yogyakarta Conference (CJYC) 2017 Futsal Student League (LIMA) on Sunday (27/8) after the UNY men's team defeated the Semarang State University (Unnes) futsal team with a final score of 7- 3 for UNI. Previously, the UNY women's futsal team secured the championship title after convincingly defeating the Indonesian Islamic University (UII) women's futsal team with a final score of 5-0.

In mid-2017, UNY's Faculty of Sports Science is currently accepting 5 foreign students from the National Taipei University of Nursing and Health Sciences (NTUNHS) Taiwan. While participating in the Summer Internship Program at FIK UNY, all of these students will take part in a lecture program regarding the introduction of material and practice of the Basics of Manipulative Therapy and Sports Therapy accompanied by a massage expert, namely Dr. Ali Satia Graha, M.Kes. and Dr.

Prof. Dr. Siswantoyo, M.Kes. AIFO adds to the ranks of professors at the Faculty of Sports Science, Yogyakarta State University. The Faculty of Sports Science, State University of Yogyakarta has again added another professor in the field of Physical Education and Sports at the Faculty of Sports Science, State University of Yogyakarta. Prof. Dr. Tomoliyus, M.S, a lecturer at the Sports Coaching Education Study Program, FIK UNY, delivered a professor inauguration speech in front of an open meeting of the Yogyakarta State University senate (8/10) in the main courtroom of the UNY rectorate.
